The Technical Analyst for Networking is a technical management role that provides technical expertise and support for the management of the networking solutions used in IT infrastructure.

The Technical Analyst for Networking plays an important role in the technical aspects of designing, testing, operating, and improving IT services. It is also responsible for developing the skills required to operate the infrastructure networking solutions.

Technical Analyst for Networking will be responsible for technical management and documentation of the following technologies: HW/SW system management for Data and Voice Communications based on Cisco technologies, Firewalls, Routers and Switches, Remote Access Solutions, and VPN.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsibility for the performance, security and monitoring of network elements in production and non-production environments
  • Network planning and conceptual design
  • Firewall configuration, analysis and troubleshooting
  • Maintain WAN/LAN Network Switching and Routing rules
  • Provide Software/Hardware Installation/Patching/Upgrades/High Availability
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation
  • Capacity planning
  • Close co-operation and communication with other IT staff
  • Participation in already running and foreseen projects
  • Providing of 2nd level support (Incident Management) for network technologies during working and non-working hours (standby mode)
  • Troubleshooting network problems and escalating problems to vendor

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in years of working experience in enterprise-level IT environments
  • At least 3 years of LAN/WAN/VPN/Voice experiences
  • Familiarity with network protocols and services (TCP, UDP, ICMP, FTP, SFTP, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Network and Infrastructure Security
  • Relevant knowledge of the following operating systems: Solaris, Linux, Windows
  • Problem-solving and good analytical skills
  • English on B2 level
  • Knowledge of Czech or Slovak language will be an advantage
  • Technical certifications welcomed
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles and JIRA experiences will be a great asset
  • Business-oriented approach to communication and a problem-solving attitude
  • A structured and positive way of thinking
  • Willingness to share knowledge and experiences with other team members
