JOB DESCRIPTION

The role owner will be responsible for developing and supporting Research’s data science platform, which is a cloud-based solution built on top of microservices that allows publishing authors to work with large sets of data and analyze those to gain new insights.

Key Accountabilities:

• Learn, understand, develop and maintain the Research data platform
• Ensure that data scientists are not facing technical issues when working with the platform
• Drive improvements to stability and supportability
• Support senior Research business users and gather feedback from them
• Work closely with a skilled team in both Prague and New York

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Essential Skills

• Good knowledge of Python and microservices
• Basic working AWS knowledge, Chef, Terraform, Cloudformation
• Basics of Unix/bash
• General knowledge of HTTP and HTML technologies
• Basics of SQL

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

• Basics of Apache Spark
• Basics of Docker, Kubernetes
• Willingness to expand on AWS knowledge
